Tucson, AZ (December 11, 2020) – Officers with the Tucson Police Department say that a pedestrian collision occurred on Friday evening, December 11, just south of downtown Tucson.

Per reports from TPD authorities dispatched to the area, the incident occurred just before 10:00 p.m. Initial information released indicated that the incident took place in the area of 22nd Street between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue.

TPD confirmed one adult was transported to a hospital via ambulance with serious, possibly life-threatening, injuries. Officers did not say whether the driver involved in the pedestrian accident stayed at the scene and they did not release information about the driver’s vehicle.

Officers with the TPD are still investigating the events leading up to the accident and have not released further information at this time. The pedestrian has not been identified, and their current condition is unknown.
