Tucson, AZ (November 16, 2019) – Officials from the Tucson Police Department have identified the victim of a deadly motorcycle wreck as 20-year-old Andrew Totten.
According to a report from the Tucson Police Department, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Broadway Boulevard and Alvernon Way on Wednesday around 6:00 p.m. Police say that the crash involved a motorcycle and passenger vehicle. Personnel with the Tucson Fire Department rendered aid to Totten, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. A press release from TPD stated that Totten was riding his motorcycle in the northbound median lane on Alvernon Way. As he entered the intersection, he collided with the front passenger side of a Toyota Avalon.
The driver of the Toyota, who remained on the scene, said she entered the intersection during a green light but made her turn when the light phased to red. She continued through the intersection and then collided with Totten.
Police are still conducting their investigation and no charges or citations have been issued, but officials said that anyone with additional information should call 88-CRIME.
Our condolences go out to the family of Andrew Totten at this time.
