Tucson, AZ – Party Identified After Garbage Truck Accident on Tangerine Road


Tucson, AZ (August 8, 2019) – Around 11:10 a.m. last Monday, a garbage truck accident took place on Tangerine Road that took one life. Now, the party killed has been identified.

The Oro Valley Police Department said that the accident occurred when a garbage truck had been traveling on Tangerine Road and suddenly ran a red light at Innovation Park Drive, striking a passenger vehicle.

The driver of the passenger vehicle has since been identified as 71-year-old Margery Jones. She was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

The second occupant in the passenger vehicle was taken to the hospital with severe injuries but is expected to be okay. The driver of the garbage truck was not injured.

Charges are pending at this time and the investigation continues.
