According to authorities, the accident took place between a white pickup truck and a deputy’s vehicle at Mission and Valencia Roads.
At the time, a sergeant with Pima County was traveling northbound on Mission Road and went through the intersection of Valencia Road. A pickup truck had been headed westbound with two minor passengers. The pickup truck did not stop at the red light.
