Tucson, AZ (February 22, 2020) – A crash that blocked traffic on Interstate 10 has resulted in possible serious injuries, according to authorities from the Tucson Police Department.

Officials with the Arizona Department of Transportation and police officers said that details are limited but that the crash blocked the left two lanes on westbound Interstate 10 at the 4th Avenue and 6th Avenue exits

Investigators with the Arizona Department of Public Safety said one car spun out on the freeway, with the driver suffering a possible medical episode. It’s unclear what the driver’s condition is at this time, or if any other drivers or passengers involved were injured. EMTs were on the scene and appeared to treat at least one person involved in the accident.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
