Tucson, AZ (November 1, 2019) – A man is being treated for serious injuries after a pedestrian accident on Tucson’s east side early Friday morning.

Tucson police responded to the crash near Houghton and Valencia Roads around 4:45 a.m. According to Officer Frank Magos, a department spokesman, the driver involved remained at the scene. It appears that the driver struck the pedestrian as he was crossing Houghton Road in the early morning hours.

Tucson Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after the accident occurred to transport the man to an area hospital, where he remains in serious condition. The victim’s name has not been released at this time.

It is unclear what caused the accident at this time, though authorities are still investigating.
