Tucson, AZ – Man Struck & Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash at W Anklam Rd

Tucson, AZ (December 4, 2019) – One person has been pronounced dead after a pedestrian collision that occurred on Tucson’s west side last night.

Just after 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, officers from Operations Division West and the Tucson Fire Department were dispatched to the intersection of West Anklam Road and Centennial Drive for a pedestrian accident. Tucson Fire Medics attempted to render aid at that time but the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to interviews conducted by officers and detectives, the pedestrian was southwest of St. Mary’s Hospital when he was struck by a westbound-traveling vehicle. The suspect vehicle did not stop and fled the scene.  The suspect’s vehicle information has not been released at this time.

Detectives are withholding the pedestrian’s identity and are asking anyone with information to call 88-CRIME, an anonymous tip line.

We offer our condolences to the deceased victim’s family at this time.
