Tucson, AZ (February 6, 2020) – Deputies are searching for at least one suspect who fled from authorities after an injurious accident in midtown late Thursday night.

Deputy James Allerton, a public information officer with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, said that investigators are searching the area near the intersection of Stone Avenue and Prince Road for a suspect who fled. Allerton said deputies were involved in a car pursuit that resulted in a crash in the area at around 7:30 p.m., and the suspect left the scene shortly after.

It’s unclear if anyone was seriously hurt in the crash, though another vehicle was struck in the process of the stop. That individual was treated at the scene by Tucson paramedics.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
