Tucson, AZ (August 22, 2019) – Police have confirmed that one person was killed in a fatal motorcycle accident at the intersection of East Golf Links Road and South Kolb Road.

The accident, according to police, took place around 6 p.m. on Tuesday night. The motorcyclist has since been identified as 34-year-old Christopher Wright, who was initially taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and died shortly after.

Police claim that a Buick SUV had been driving westbound on East Golf Links attempting to turn onto South Kolb when the collision occurred. Wright had been on his 2008 Yamaha. The Buick suddenly turned in front of the motorcycle, leading to a forceful collision. Wright had been wearing a helmet but was still badly injured.

Police claim that the driver of the Buick stayed at the scene of the crash so that they could assist the police. No charges have yet been made and the investigation into the accident continues.
