Tucson, AZ (October 26, 2019) – Officers from the Tucson Police Department are looking for the driver of a dark green, SUV that was involved in a hit-and-run that left two men in the hospital.
The collision happened near South Treat Avenue around 1:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon. According to Francisco Magos, a public information officer with the Tucson Police Department, the hit-and-run crash started out as an altercation between the driver and at least one of the victims. The driver hit both men, one pedestrian and one cyclist, then left the scene of the crash.
Both victims were transported to Banner University Medical Center, where the pedestrian was treated for life-threatening injuries.
Magos said that the hit-and-run vehicle was last seen traveling southbound from 5100 South Treat Avenue and is expected to have front-end damage. Police urge anyone with information about the accident to call 88-CRIME.
