Tonopah, AZ (November 26, 2020) – On Wednesday evening, injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 near Tonopah and Buckeye.

According to officers with the Maricopa County Police Department, multiple victims sustained injuries. Fire rescue units and paramedics arrived at the scene of the wreck shortly after it occurred, just before 8:30 p.m. Initial reports stated that the wreck occurred on the Papago Freeway at milepost 84, near the Burnt Well Rest Area, and shut down the highway for several hours.

No further information was available, though authorities are still investigating the crash at this time. EMTs were also working to treat victims at the scene and may have transported at least one injured victim to a local hospital.
