Tolleson, AZ (December 5, 2019) – A crash involving a jack-knifed tractor-trailer shut down the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 at the 91st Avenue exit in Tolleson on Thursday morning, resulting in injuries.

According to local officers and fire rescue units, the crash happened just after 8:30 a.m. on Thursday. The Arizona Department of Public Safety said that the semi-truck lost control and crashed, blocking multiple lanes and colliding with at least one other vehicle. Trooper Jonathan Montes from the Tolleson Police Department said that the vehicle was stuck under the semi, and crews were working to get the driver out. No life-threatening injuries were reported, though Tolleson EMTs were at the scene to treat the trapped driver and transport them to the hospital.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
