Tempe, AZ (January 10, 2020) – A Tempe Police Department officer was involved in a four-vehicle crash on Thursday evening near Rural Road and Guadalupe Road, the department said. 

Details about how the crash occurred were not provided, but authorities said that the Tempe police officer suffered minor injuries and declined to be taken to a hospital.

One of the other drivers involved in the accident suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital via ambulance.

All of the other drivers and passengers involved were evaluated by officials from the Tempe Fire Medical Rescue Department but declined to be taken to a hospital for further evaluation.
