Tempe, AZ (December 8, 2019) – An accident in the early morning hours on Sunday left several people injured.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a three-vehicle collision occurred on westbound Loop 202, also known as the Red Mountain Freeway, near 52nd Street. The accident happened around 4:00 a.m.
News photos from the incident showed that the multi-car accident blocked all lanes of traffic as emergency crews arrived on the scene. Paramedics appeared to transport at least one victim to a local area hospital, but the conditions of the other victims are unknown.
Officers from the Tempe Police Department are still investigating the crash at this time.
