Tempe, AZ (February 8, 2020) – One person is dead after a crash involving five vehicles in Tempe that occurred on Saturday night, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Authorities say that the crash happened around 11:30 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 10 near Warner Road. According to DPS, a vehicle was traveling eastbound when it collided with the rear of a second vehicle. DPS said that both vehicles lost control at that point and one of them collided with the three other vehicles. Another vehicle then rolled over, causing the driver to be ejected. The driver was taken to a local area hospital via ambulance but later died from the incident.
No other details were released at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
