Somerton, AZ – Victim Hospitalized After Rollover Crash at Main St & Musgrove Ave

Somerton, AZ (November 29, 2020) – First responders with the Somerton Cocopah Fire Department (SCFD) responded to a rollover wreck that resulted in injuries on Sunday morning.

Per reports from the SCFD, the wreck happened just before 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Musgrove Avenue. Firefighters arrived at the scene and found a black car resting on its roof.

Both the driver and the passenger were able to get out of the car on their own. However, the passenger, a 40-year-old woman, complained of head pain and was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) via ambulance. Paramedics examined the 24-year-old male driver, but he declined treatment or transport to the hospital.

SCFD says it’s still unclear how the vehicle flipped, but officers with the Somerton Police Department are investigating the crash. No further details about the victims have been released at this time.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families. We hope for their full recovery.
