Sierra Vista, AZ – Teenage Boy Killed in SUV Accident After Falling Off Roof

Sierra Vista, AZ (June 25, 2019) – Early Monday morning, police confirmed that a teenage boy was killed in an SUV accident when he fell off the roof of the moving vehicle.

Police and fire departments were called to the scene of the accident around 12:11 a.m. on Monday at Avenida Escuela and Blackbird Drive, where they found the victim with serious head trauma.

A second male was also at the scene of the accident who identified himself as the driver of the SUV involved. He claimed that the victim had been standing on the roof of the vehicle while he was driving around the neighborhood. The teen on the roof then fell off, causing severe head trauma to occur.

The injured teenager was transported to the Canyon Vista Medical Center. He was then flown by medical helicopter to a second hospital and was tragically pronounced deceased while there.

Police continue their investigation into the accident at this time.

We would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the teen whose life was taken in this accident.
