Scottsdale, AZ – Multi-Vehicle Wreck Blocks L-101 at Hayden Rd

Scottsdale, AZ (August 14, 2019) – A multi-vehicle wreck blocked the right lane of Loop 101 eastbound on Wednesday afternoon, August 14th.

Authorities on the scene say that the crash occurred when two sedans collided in the right lane of L-101 eastbound, also known as the Pima Freeway, at Hayden Road around 5:30 p.m. First responders assisted the injured victims and cleared the wreck, though they’re still working to determine the cause of the collision. The drivers’ information and the extent of their injuries, however, have not been released.

All lanes reopened just before 6:00 p.m., though the traffic in the area was backed up into the evening.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Multi-Vehicle Wrecks in Arizona

The Arizona Department of Transportation released its latest crash report, showing nearly 35,000 accident injuries across the state in 2018. And of the nearly 55,000 total accidents that occurred last year, more than half of those involved more than one injured victim and several vehicles.

Whether it’s serious injuries and astronomical medical costs or even job loss, tragic, unforeseen consequences may befall victims and their families after a wreck. However, those affected can contact a Phoenix accident lawyer for help, and in some cases, seek fair compensation from a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit.
