Scottsdale, AZ (September 6, 2019) – A multi-vehicle crash blocked three lanes on the Agua Fria Freeway Friday evening, resulting in multiple injuries.
The injury accident, according to local police officials, occurred around 7:15 p.m. on Loop 101, also called the Agua Fria Freeway. Fire rescue units and paramedics were on the scene to assist the injured victims and determine the cause of the accident.
At this time, it appears that at least three sedans collided in the right lanes of L-101 southbound, just before McDowell Road. All vehicles sustained damage in the accident.
An update on the victims’ conditions has not been released and the cause of the wreck remains unclear.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
Recent data released by the Arizona Department of Transportation showed that more than 130,000 crashes occurred statewide last year. A large number of these crashes involved multiple injured victims. Of the total car accidents that occurred in 2018, approximately 37,000 involved at least two injured victims.
Car accidents that involve injuries can cause stress and anguish for both drivers and their passengers. Accident victims are not only tasked with documenting damage, dealing with other drivers, and communicating with insurance companies, but they may also be affected by costly medical bills and long-term physical problems as a result of injuries. But victims and their families can seek legal aid from a personal injury lawyer.
If you’ve been injured in a crash due to the negligence of another driver, you may be entitled to fair compensation from a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit.
