Scottsdale, AZ (December 11, 2019) – A rollover crash left seven people, including three children, seriously injured at Miller Road and Thomas Road on Wednesday.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a baby was being wheeled into an ambulance and two other children at the scene were being treated by paramedics shortly before 4:00 p.m. One SUV was on its roof at the intersection of Miller and Thomas, but it is still unclear how the crash happened.
The Scottsdale Fire Department initially said the children were taken to a hospital in critical condition but added that all are expected to survive. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
The latest accident report from the Arizona Department of Transportation showed that the state had more than 130,000 accidents in 2018. Unfortunately, countless injuries resulted from these wrecks. At least 37,000 of the accidents involved two or more seriously injured victims requiring medical care or hospitalization. Furthermore, many of these wrecks are caused by distracted or impaired drivers.
Those who sustain crash injuries often have to cope with both physical and emotional trauma. Wreck victims must document their injuries, negotiate with insurance companies, and take time from work. They may even have to deal with lost wages or job loss. But victims and their families can seek help from a personal injury lawyer, especially if they’ve been involved in an accident that’s caused by the negligent actions of another driver.
