San Tan Valley, AZ – Man Facing Charges After Wrong-Way Crash on Hunt Highway

San Tan Valley, AZ (June 18, 2019) – 29-year-old Octavio Arreola is now facing charges following a serious wrong-way crash that took place on the Hunt Highway.

The accident took place this past weekend when Arreola wrecked his SUV while driving the wrong way on the highway. A Sheriff’s deputy was sitting on patrol in the area and witnessed the accident.

The deputy saw Arreola in the SUV before he struck another car and then a curb, coming to a stop. He was barely able to get out of his vehicle and started to become combative with deputies. They found that his blood-alcohol content was high.

There were injuries but, thankfully, none were life-threatening and the parties are expected to be okay.

Arreola has since been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, three counts endangerment, and a variety of other related charges.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
