Queen Valley, AZ (April 16, 2020) – A serious crash blocked multiple lanes of State Route 79 near Arizona Farms Road, south of Queen Valley, and resulted in at least one injured victim on Thursday afternoon.

Authorities say that the crash occurred when several vehicles collided at milepost 142 of SR 79 northbound around 2:30 p.m. Police and fire rescue units were at the scene to assist injured victims and determine the cause of the crash, though the drivers’ information has not been released at this time. However, at least one person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, and the wreck eventually closed both sides of the highway.

The accident remains under investigation.
