Phoenix, AZ (August 22, 2019) – This morning around 4:30 a.m., emergency services responded to the scene of a fatal accident at a local intersection in Phoenix. Police confirmed that one person was killed and two were seriously injured in the crash.
The accident involved two vehicles and took place at the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Van Buren Road in Phoenix. The crash took place when a Mazda failed to yield for a black SUV, which caused the two to collide with one another.
Fire personnel assisted and tried to help one party with severe injuries but, unfortunately, they were pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Police closed down the roadway and said that it could be some time before they reopen. Their investigation is ongoing at this time.
We would like to take this time to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the party whose life was taken in this accident.
