Phoenix, AZ – Hit-and-Run Accident Takes One Life on 23rd Avenue


Phoenix, AZ (July 2, 2019) – Phoenix Police were called to the scene of a hit-and-run accident that took one life on 23rd Avenue. One man was struck and the driver continued onward after the accident.

Police confirmed that 37-year-old Steven Hoffman, Jr. was walking on the sidewalk at the time when a Ford Expedition suddenly drifted onto the sidewalk and struck him. He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver did not stop and continued onward, turning south on 19th Avenue.

Police have not found any other information about the driver and are trying to collect information from those who may have witnessed the accident.

The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
