Phoenix, AZ – Woman Dead After Fatal Accident at 16th St Intersection


Phoenix, AZ (September 5, 2019) – On Tuesday night, September 3rd, a woman was killed and a man was seriously injured in a fatal accident that took place at a Phoenix intersection. 

The accident occurred at the intersection of 16th Street and Indian School Road. At the time, 49-year-old Dawn Christa Cash and a 55-year-old man, whose name has not been released, were crossing the street in the intersection when they were struck by a pickup truck. The two had been in a crosswalk at the time.

Police said that Cash was pronounced dead at the scene while the man was taken to a local area hospital with serious injuries. We are unaware of his condition at this time.

The driver of the pickup truck was identified as an 84-year-old who was not injured in the accident.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
