Phoenix, AZ (September 19, 2020) – Impairment is being investigated as a possible cause of a car crash that occurred in Phoenix on Saturday night, sending two people to the hospital.

Firefighters were called to the intersection of 35th Avenue and Indian School Road, also known as the Phoenix-Wickenburg Highway, around 10:00 p.m. Once they arrived at the scene, they found that two adults were injured in the crash. One of the victims sustained serious injuries while the other has minor injuries, and both were transported to an area medical center via ambulance.

There’s no word yet on what caused the accident. Officers with the Phoenix Police Department say that impairment may have been a factor and that at least two vehicles were involved. It’s unclear whether the victims were traveling in the same car.

The accident remains under investigation at this time, and officers haven’t released further details.
