Phoenix, AZ (December 29, 2019) – A multi-vehicle crash early Sunday morning blocked the right lanes of Interstate 17 near Thomas Road and resulted in at least one injury.
The crash occurred when several vehicles traveling northbound collided on I-17, also known as the Black Canyon Freeway, around 2:00 a.m. Fire rescue units and Phoenix police authorities were on the scene to assist the victims and investigate the cause of the wreck. At least three vehicles appear to be involved in the accident.
Paramedics appeared to transport at least one victim to an area hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
