Phoenix, AZ (August 18, 2019) – An injury crash blocked the right lane of traffic on Interstate 10 on Sunday afternoon, August 18th.

Authorities say that two sedans collided in the right lane of I-10 eastbound, also known as the Papago Freeway, at 7th Avenue around 3:10 p.m. Police and fire rescue units responded to the scene of the crash in order to assist the injured victims, though they have not released the drivers’ information or the extent of their injuries at this time. All lanes reopened by 4:00 p.m.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Injury Wrecks in Arizona

The Arizona Department of Transportation published new crash data showing nearly 35,000 accident injuries occurred across the state last year. And according to these recent numbers from 2018, more than half of last year’s 55,000 total crashes that occurred involved more than one injured victim.

Serious car accidents have adverse results for victims and their families, including costly medical expenses, critical long-term injuries, job loss, or even death. However, those affected by these crashes can contact a Phoenix accident lawyer for help, and in some cases, seek the justice they deserve from a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit.
