Phoenix, AZ (December 1, 2020) – Officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Phoenix Police Department are investigating an injury crash that occurred on State Route 51 in Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon.

According to initial reports, the crash happened just before 2:00 p.m. on northbound SR 51 at Thomas Road. DPS says that at least two damaged vehicles were photographed at the side of the highway as the result of the collision. EMTs arrived on the scene shortly after the accident occurred and said that victims were being treated at the scene with one possible transport to an area hospital via ambulance.

The cause of the crash is unknown, though officers from the Phoenix Police Department and DPS were both on the scene to conduct their investigation. Authorities are still piecing together the events leading up to the accident and have not released further details at this time.
