Phoenix, AZ (November 26, 2019) – The eastbound lanes of the Loop 202 in Phoenix were closed for several hours on Tuesday night after a pedestrian was struck and killed.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the deadly collision happened near 40th Street. DPS has not released any information about what caused the collision but said that the eastbound lanes of the freeway were closed from the Mini-Stack to 40th Street for several hours while police investigated and cleared the wreckage. Details about the victim have not been released, though it appears that they were pronounced dead at the scene.
