Phoenix, AZ (September 19, 2019) – A 29-year-old woman, identified as Kasandra Valdez, was critically injured in a pedestrian crash at 27th Avenue and Indian School Road.

The pedestrian told police that she was walking when she was suddenly struck by a red car. The vehicle then fled the scene of the accident.

Valdez was transported to the hospital via ambulance with various injuries including a broken leg and multiple fractures in her pelvis and hip area. She is listed in critical condition at this time.

The Phoenix Police Department has not yet been able to identify the vehicle involved in the accident. Their investigation continues.
