Phoenix, AZ (September 17, 2019) – Last night around 8:15 p.m., a woman was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident on 43rd Avenue.

The woman had been crossing the street and was mid-block when she was suddenly struck by a northbound vehicle. The driver stayed at the scene of the crash and did not show signs of impairment.

The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was badly injured and was immediately taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police do not know her current condition at this time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
