Phoenix, AZ (February 4, 2020) – A multi-vehicle crash closed the Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway in the West Valley during rush hour and resulted in several serious injuries on Tuesday at around 4:30 p.m.

Phoenix Fire Capt. Rob McDade said that three people, a 44-year-old female, a 29-year-old female, and a 2-year-old male, were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. A 21-year-old female was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries. A total of eight people were treated at the scene of the accident.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
