Phoenix, AZ (January 11, 2020) – A multi-vehicle wreck on Saturday evening resulted in severe property damage and several injured victims.
Local authorities say the accident occurred when one sedan and two SUVs collided in the left lanes of L-202 westbound, also known as the Red Mountain Freeway, before 24th Street around 9:00 p.m. Fire rescue and police units assisted injured victims and worked to determine the cause of the wreck, though they have not released the drivers’ information at this time.
The accident remains under investigation by officers from the Phoenix Police Department.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
Last year’s statewide crash numbers show that more than half of the 55,000 total car accidents that occurred in 2018 involved two or more vehicles. The Arizona Department of Transportation notes that nearly 35,000 injuries resulted from those crashes. Due to the nature of these multi-vehicle wrecks, victims and families may pay a steep price.
In fact, those involved in multi-vehicle accidents may experience a number of tragic, unforeseen consequences after a wreck, from long-term medical expenses and serious injuries to even job loss or death. But those affected can contact a Phoenix crash lawyer for help, and in some cases, seek justice from a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit.
