Phoenix, AZ – Multi-Vehicle Wreck Blocks I-10 at 27th Ave

Phoenix, AZ (August 16, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident blocked the left lane of I-10 at 27th Avenue on Friday morning, August 16th.

Officials at the scene say that the crash occurred when two vehicles collided in the left lane of I-10 eastbound, also known as the Papago Freeway, at 27th Avenue around 9:45 a.m. First responders were at the scene to assist injured victims and investigate the cause of the collision, though they have not released the drivers’ information or the extent of their injuries at this time.

All lanes reopened before 10:30 a.m., but traffic was slow in the area for the next several hours.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Multi-Vehicle Wrecks in Arizona

A new accident report released by the Arizona Department of Transportation showed nearly 35,000 statewide accident injuries in 2018. And of the almost 55,000 total accidents that took place last year, more than half involved two or more injured victims and more than one vehicle.

From astronomical medical costs to serious long-term injuries and even job loss, accidents have tragic consequences for victims and their families. But those affected can contact a Phoenix car accident lawyer for help, and in some cases, seek justice from a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit.
