Phoenix, AZ (July 15, 2019) – A multi-vehicle crash on Monday afternoon, July 15th, blocked all lanes on I-40 westbound past Ash Fork.

According to officials, the injury accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. It appeared to involve multiple vehicles that collided in the center lanes and stopped traffic on I-40, also called Route 66. Police and fire rescue units were on the scene to assist victims and determine the cause of the wreck.

All lanes reopened around 2:00 p.m., but traffic remained slow throughout the area and authorities were still investigating the crash. Officials have not released the victims’ information or their conditions.
