Phoenix, AZ (August 10, 2019) – A wreck on Saturday afternoon, August 10th, blocked the transition ramp from Loop 202 westbound to Interstate 10 eastbound.

According to officials at the scene, the multi-vehicle wreck occurred just before 6:15 p.m. when two vehicles collided in the L-202 transition ramp to I-10 eastbound, also known as the Maricopa Freeway. Police and fire rescue units responded to the crash to assist injured victims and investigate the cause of the collision, though the drivers’ information and the extent of their injuries have not been released at this time.

All lanes were cleared by 7:00 p.m., but the crash remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recoveries.

Multi-Vehicle Crashes in Arizona

According to the 2018 accident report from the Arizona Department of Transportation, more than 35,000 injuries occurred last year as a result of serious car crashes across the state. And of the nearly 55,000 accidents that occurred in Arizona throughout the year, more than half involved at least two vehicles and more than one injured victim.

From costly medical bills to critical long-term injuries, and even job loss or death, victims and their families may suffer tragic consequences after an accident. However, those affected by these serious injury accidents can contact a Phoenix accident lawyer for help, and in some cases, seek compensation and justice from a personal injury or wrongful death lawsuit.
