Phoenix, AZ (August 11, 2019) – An injury accident on Sunday afternoon, August 11th, blocked the left lane and HOV lane of Loop 202 at Tempe Town Lake.

According to authorities, the crash occurred just before 1:20 p.m. and involved at least two sedans, which collided in the HOV and left lanes of L-202 westbound, also known as the Red Mountain Freeway, near McClintock Road and Tempe Town Lake. Police and fire rescue units responded to the crash, assisting injured victims and investigating the cause of the multi-vehicle wreck. However, the drivers’ information and the extent of their injuries have not been released at this time.

All lanes were cleared by 2:30 p.m.
