Phoenix, AZ (August 27, 2019) – On Sunday afternoon, police responded to the scene of a serious motorcycle accident that took place at 41st Place and Thunderbird Road in Phoenix.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, the accident took place at the intersection around 10:00 a.m. A 21-year-old woman named Sara Sloan had been driving a Hyundai Sonata headed to Thunderbird Road. She suddenly made a left while a 2005 Honda motorcycle was headed west and turned into the motorcycle.

The 29-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured due to the collision. Police believe that Sloan had been driving while intoxicated at the time of the accident.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
