Phoenix, AZ (May 20, 2020) – The southbound lanes of Interstate 17 at Interstate 10 in Phoenix were closed and injuries were reported following a multi-car accident on Wednesday.

According to officials from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash happened just before 11:00 p.m. Officers say that a sedan crashed and collided with several other vehicles near the I-10 and I-17 Stack Interchange. At least one victim appeared to be transported to an area hospital by Phoenix paramedics, but their identifying information and current condition have not been released.

It is unclear what caused the crash, though the accident remains under investigation at this time
