Phoenix, AZ – Injuries Reported in 3-Car Crash on I-17 at Dunlap Ave
Phoenix, AZ (October 18, 2019) – On Friday evening, a three-car collision occurred in the right lane of Interstate 17, blocking traffic and resulting in at least one serious injury.
Local police officials reported that three sedans collided in the right lanes of I-17, also referred to as the Black Canyon Freeway, just after Dunlap Avenue. Authorities were at the scene to assist injured victims and investigate the cause of the wreck, which occurred around 6:45 p.m. Witnesses say that one of the sedans, a black four-door passenger car, rear-ended one other vehicle and caused a chain-reaction accident.
Phoenix police officers gathered the information of all drivers at the scene while Phoenix EMTs treated one victim at the scene and appeared to transport another victim to the hospital. The current conditions of the drivers are unclear, though the wreck remains under investigation by authorities.
