Phoenix, AZ (February 3, 2020) – At least one person is dead and others are injured after an early-morning multi-vehicle accident on State Route 87 northeast of Phoenix.

According to the Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred just before 6:00 a.m. Investigators closed SR 87 between Gilbert Road and Shea Boulevard while they cleared the wreckage and collected evidence.

No details were immediately available, but the crash remains under investigation.
