Phoenix, AZ – Critical Motorcycle Accident on Thomas Road

Phoenix, AZ (August 27, 2019) – On Friday, Phoenix Police responded to the scene of a motorcycle accident near Mesa on Thomas Road that left one party in extremely critical condition.

The accident took place around 12:40 p.m. when a 38-year-old man had been traveling west on his 2000 motorcycle and suddenly struck the rear-end of a Toyota Corolla.

The Toyota Corolla had been stopped at the time of the accident, sitting in a curb lane because of a red light that backed up traffic in the area. The 57-year-old driver did not receive injuries.

The crash caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from his bike. He was taken off of the road and placed on private property until paramedics arrived.

Police are not sure of the exact circumstances leading up to the accident but their investigation into the accident is ongoing.
