Phoenix, AZ – Crash Blocks Right Lane on SR 51 at Glendale Ave

Phoenix, AZ (August 16, 2019) – A multi-vehicle crash blocked the right lane of State Route 51 past Glendale Avenue on Friday morning, August 16th.

Fire rescue units and police officials responded to the crash, which occurred when one SUV and one pickup truck collided in the right lane of SR 51 southbound, also known as the Piestewa Freeway, past Glendale Avenue around 9:00 a.m. First responders were assisting injured victims and investigating the cause of the collision, though they have not released the drivers’ information or details about their injuries.

All lanes reopened at 9:30 a.m., but traffic remained slow in the area.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
