Phoenix, AZ (October 17, 2019) – Around 6:30 a.m. this morning, police responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident that blocked lanes on the Red Mountain Freeway in the area of AZ-202 Loop.
According to authorities, the accident involved multiple vehicles and blocked the roadway in the area until emergency services were able to remove the vehicles from the road. The accident caused severe damages.
Rush hour traffic was backed up in the area of the ramp leading onto the Loop, unable to get through for several minutes. Paramedics and other responders assisted those with injuries at the scene of the accident. However, we do not know their conditions at this time.
The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
