Phoenix, AZ – 9 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash Near 27th Ave & Van Buren St

Phoenix, AZ (January 27, 2020) – Nine people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Phoenix on Monday morning, per reports from the Phoenix Fire Department.

The incident occurred near 27th Avenue and Van Buren around 7:25 a.m.  The Phoenix Fire Department responded to the scene and found nine victims involved in the crash. It appears that the collision occurred when a black SUV ran a red light and collided with a white sedan. Phoenix police officers say that a 12-year-old girl and a 7-year-old girl were both transported to a local hospital.

Both drivers remained on the scene and impairment is not a factor, said Sgt. Maggie Cox, a public relations officer for the Phoenix Police Department. The investigation is still ongoing.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
