Phoenix, AZ (October 16, 2019) – Two motorcyclists were transported to a hospital with serious injuries after a crash late Monday night.
Officers from the Phoenix Police Department arrived shortly after the wreck occurred near 17th Avenue and Mountain View Road. Police said that a man was riding a motorcycle with his woman passenger when he lost control and laid the bike down. He then hit a parked vehicle on the motorcycle, which caused his passenger to become pinned under the car. Firefighters had to rescue the passenger from underneath the car.
Both riders sustained serious life-threatening injuries and were rushed to a local area hospital via ambulance. No further information is available at this time, but officials say that they are investigating speed and impairment as factors.
