Phoenix, AZ – 2 Injured in Hit-and-Run on I-10 Near 43rd Ave

Phoenix, AZ (March 9, 2020) – Officers from the Phoenix Police Department responded to a serious multi-vehicle wreck on Interstate 10 on Monday night.

Authorities say that one of the drivers involved fled the scene after the two-vehicle accident on Interstate 10. The crash, which occurred on eastbound I-10 near the 43rd Avenue off-ramp around 7:00 p.m., caused an additional vehicle to get rear-ended, according to the Department of Public Safety.

After the initial collision, that vehicle ended up on the left shoulder of the off-ramp, while the second vehicle came to rest on the median.

The driver at fault then fled the scene. DPS says two people were transported to a local hospital via ambulance with unknown injuries, and the accident remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families. We hope for their full recovery.
