Peoria, AZ – Early Crash Leaves Two Injured Near 73rd Ave & Northern Ave

Peoria, AZ (July 24, 2019) – An early morning accident seriously injured two people in Peoria near 73rd Avenue and Northern Avenue.

The two-vehicle collision occurred around 2:45 a.m. According to police, both drivers were taken to a hospital in serious condition but the cause of the injury accident remains under investigation at this time. Officials say that impairment does not appear to be a factor in the wreck.

The crash closed westbound traffic on Northern Avenue at 71st Avenue and restricted eastbound traffic to only one lane. All lanes re-opened several lanes later.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recoveries.

Injury Accidents in Arizona

A 2018 study published by the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) showed that severe incidents involving injuries or deaths are on the rise. In fact, nearly 55,000 injuries and more than 1,000 deaths occurred from crashes state-wide last year. And ADOT information indicates that the summer months bring more traffic to highways, resulting in an increased risk of these dangerous incidents.

Victims and their families often suffer tragic, unforeseen circumstances after a crash, like long-term injuries, costly medical bills, and even job loss. But those affected can contact a Phoenix accident lawyer for help, and in some cases, get the justice they deserve from a personal injury or death lawsuit.
