Oro Valley, AZ (July 18, 2019) – On Saturday night, Oro Valley Police were called to the scene of a serious head-on collision that took place on Moore Road.

The woman was identified as 19-year-old Maya Smith Dolana, who had been driving her Toyota Prius westbound on Moore Road after a babysitting job. She crossed over the line and her vehicle collided with a GMC truck.

When officers arrived at the scene of the accident, they found a man standing outside his pickup truck and Dolana trapped inside her vehicle. Unfortunately, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police are not sure what caused Dolana to cross the line at this time and their investigation into the accident continues. Our sincere condolences are warmly extended to the family and friends of Maya Smith Dolana at this time.
